In April 1996 my wife, Dianne, and I, along with fifty other Christians, established Liberty Christian Church with a vision for a church that would be effective in training and equipping Christians for life and ministry in our city and our world. Towards the end of 1996 Liberty Bible College was launched. It soon became obvious that an effective correspondence college for those who cannot attend a Bible college was needed. Thus in 1997 commenced offering external studies. This has now become the chief emphasis of LBC. Hundreds of African pastors and leaders have studied with us and we have helped to set up three Bible Colleges in Africa.
At present Liberty Bible College is operating in Uganda and Kenya. In the past colleges and courses have been established in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. These were independent colleges which included teaching from LBC, but also taught their own courses and awarded their own certificates.
